Our open house was on Thursday and I got to see my students who were all so happy to see me, too. I am very thankful to have a full schedule of art this year again, and be at one building. Memorial is kindergarten through 3rd grade. I will spend 90 minutes a week with every student in our school. Classes come twice a week to art. I love having so much studio time with these kids. Last year they turned out some pretty incredible artwork!
I decorated the studio in a Lego theme. I know Legos don't appeal to everyone...but I think it works great in an art room. I really like the "giant" mini figures that are all over the room. I will use them to communicate important information or for prompts or ideas. I love that it is so easy to just whip up a new saying for the speech bubbles!
